My second project of art👩🏻‍🎨

Hey friends, hope you all are safe at your places… So hows life guys… Well mine is going on too occuppied these days… I have been thinking to write a poem since long long time and see, i am stuck totally… As it happens many of times that we wanna write so many stuffs but our mind doesnt cooperate!!! One sentence i wrote and got blank out…again after sometime another two to three sentences i wrote and again blank!!! So with full of frustration i left it like that!!! Once i calm my mood will start again to write… Till then i thought of sharing my second artwork for the project #julyfolkartchallenge with you…

The 2nd theme was KALAMKARI MANDALA FUSION… Kalamkari is a type of hand-painted or block-printed cotton textile produced in Isfahan, Iran, and in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Only natural dyes are used in Kalamkari, which involves twenty-three step. There are two distinctive styles of Kalamkari art in India – Srikalahasti style and the Machilipatnam style. The Srikalahasti style of Kalamkari, where the “kalam” or pen is used for freehand drawing of the subject and filling in the colors, is entirely hand worked. This style flourished in temples centered around creating unique religious identities, appearing on scrolls, temple hangings, chariot banners as well as depictions of deities and scenes taken from the Hindu epics (e.g. Ramayana, Mahabharata and Purana). The style owes its present status to Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay who popularized the art as the first chairperson of the All India Handicrafts Board. All details are derived from @wikipedia

My art of kalamkari mandala fusion

In my imagination i thought to show like a girl wearing kalamkari printed dress, sitting and herself drawing the kalamkari print and background of her will be mandalas… So i poured my imagination on my artwork!!!
