HAPPY MAHA SHIV RATRI๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฑ

My pencil sketch done in 4hours of Lord Shiva and his kid lord Ganesha๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Maha shiv ratri is a major festival in Hinduism, and this festival is solemn and marks a remembrance of “overcoming darkness and ignorance” in life and the world. It is observed by remembering Shiva and chanting prayers, fasting, and meditating on ethics and virtues such as honesty, non-injury to others, charity, forgiveness, and the discovery of Shiva. The ardent devotees keep awake all night. Others visit one of the Shiva temples or go on pilgrimage to Jyotirlingams. This is an ancient Hindu festival whose origin date is unknown

Basically it is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honour of the god Shiva. The name also refers to the night when Shiva performs the heavenly dance. There is a Shivaratri in every luni-solar month of the Hindu calendar, on the month’s 13th night/14th day, but once a year in late winter (February/March, or Phalguna) and before the arrival of Summer, marks Maha Shivaratri which means “the Great Night of Shiva”.

Crayons art did few months back, referring youtube, this art is called ARDHA-NARESHWAR RUPA (Half male and half female form of Lord Shiva and His wife Goddess Parvati)๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

  1. Ganesha resides on my, what used to be, Zen alter. I love this post. It speaks to how much we can learn and grow when we shatter the containers of beliefs and conditioning. Great post. Take care of you.

  2. I cry over my shame
    the daily reminder
    my sins of the soul

    my heart is alone
it does not feverish for the will of the mind

    I see people
    Animals things water and mountains

    The cosmos above me
    in me the microcosm
    with my inner eyes

I see very little of the real world
as little as a human can see out there

Everything is contained in the soul
the things feelings and the thoughts

The highest place and the deepest place
    it is in ourselves
    the great self withdraws
    us to humans

Nobody looks into the soul with his eyes into another
no one hears the other’s dream
the spar tube of the soul

    Our tongue is a sieve
that proclaim the absolute truth to others

The breath of the soul is so old
    like the universe

Mother earth gives us the food
and the blessings in our lives

Let the children play their game
the task lies with the adults
    to understand oneself in everything

Suffering is the sibling of joy
    endure the pain
    the restlessness to the incentive

    The confusion, the worry
    endure courageously

My past can no longer be brought into being

I am confused, plagued with worry

    My ailments
    with my fear and horror
I am a simple weak person

    The suffering and the need
and the joy of my daily bread

    I doubt myself
    I experience through the soul
what the soul through the gift of dreams
has to tell me for insight

    Past and future
in the cosmos on earth in the here and now

The language, the experience and the knowledge
is alive in every human heart

    Every obstacle
    Any unrest
demands that you deal with your own difficulties as a person

The spirit lies secure in the human senses
from the universe the earth encompasses everything living man

In everything I do not work for wages and success
    not expecting happiness

I serve the soul alone every day

The self is the diversity of all being
I have been walking hand in hand with my fear since I was a child

My consciousness is a lonely ephemeral place

  5. I miss Pradeep, a former associate of mine in Hyderabad. There was a change in-country and suddenly he does not respond to email. Not working for that company myself, I do not feel it proper to inquire of him. He used to share much of the many holidays and customs with me. So now, I rely on Soni. Thank you for this read.
